I am engaged in a campaign to get public support for my the Head of State Referenda Bill, in the first instance to assist its passage at the First Reading in Parliament, so that it can then be considered by the Select Committee.
Keith will be speaking at the opening of the Human Rights Olympics. This is an event run by Students for a free Tibet to raise awareness of Human Rights Issues in China.

The Search and Surveillance Bill currently before Parliament is a serious threat to civil liberties in New Zealand. It broadly increases the powers of the police and other government agencies to monitor, search and detain individuals for minor and nonexistent infringements.
