Clark and Cosgrove must challenge Games web censorship

Green Party MP Keith Locke is asking the Government and New Zealand Olympic officials to challenge Beijing’s censorship of websites available to those visiting the Games. “Our officials can’t stay silent while China blatantly goes back on its pledge to allow those reporting the games free access to the internet,” Mr Locke, the Party’s Sports Spokesperson, says.

Green Party MP Keith Locke has criticised the chef de mission of New Zealand’s Olympic team Dave Currie for discouraging our athletes from speaking out on human rights issues while in Beijing.

Police must butt out of politics during Rice visit

The ICC, at its conference this week, decided that Zimbabwe Cricket would remain a part of the Future Tours Programme.

Ms Betancourt was the presidential candidate for the Colombian Green Party in 2002.

Zimbabwe Election Motion in Parliament

The Green Party fully supports the Prime Minister’s motion, and we are pleased that it has incorporated some of the Green Party’s motion that was to be moved today. The Mugabe regime has been an utter disaster for the people of Zimbabwe and has been able to survive for so long only because of support from some neighbouring countries, particularly the Mbeki Government in South Africa.
