Zimbabwe Election Motion in Parliament

The Green Party fully supports the Prime Minister’s motion, and we are pleased that it has incorporated some of the Green Party’s motion that was to be moved today. The Mugabe regime has been an utter disaster for the people of Zimbabwe and has been able to survive for so long only because of support from some neighbouring countries, particularly the Mbeki Government in South Africa.

Saturday, February 2 was a great day for Aucklanders, with the opening of the much-needed North Shore Busway, which is already pulling people out of their cars and providing quick journeys from the up and down the North Shore, and making it easier for North Shore commuters to get to Auckland City.

General Debate – peaceful political action

I wish to address the issues raised by the police arrest of 17 people on arms charges and possibly further charges under the Terrorism Suppression Act. I wish first to say that the Green Party is t
